Fact of the Day More Information Many conspiracy theorists proposed the idea that countries like America that actually discuss nationwide smoking bans are trying to inch closer toward fascism. Basically, these conclusions stem from the fact that a smoking ban is an infringement on civil liberties. This denial of personal freedom is also unconstitutional when taken to the extent of banning smoking in private homes and vehicles (San Francisco Bay Area).
Like a chain reaction, once one freedom is "given up" it is that much easier to get the people to give up another.
